Sat Tal: Sat Tal is a cluster of mysteriously interconnected seven freshwater lakes situated 22kms away from Nainital on the road to Bhim Tal. Sat tal is set at an altitude of 1370mts above sea level. The group of lakes is set amidst dense forests of oak and pine trees. 

BhimTal: It is situated at a distance of 24kms from Nainital at an altitude of 1,375mts above sea level. The main attraction in Bhimtal is the Bhimtal Lake which has a small island at its centre.  Bhimtal is older than the town of Nainital and is considered as one of the best excursions of Nainital. 

Naukuchia Tal: The name literally suggests Nine-Cornered Lake. It is situated 28kms from Nainital and 4kms from Bhimtal. The lake is around 1 km in length, 0.6 km in width and approximately 40m in depth. It is the deepest of the lakes in the greater Naintal area. According to myth, if one takes a glimpse of all nine corners at once, one can disappear in a cloud of smoke.

Khurpa Tal: Khurpa Tal is an attractive lake situated around 11kms by road and 5km by hike from Nainital. Khurpa Tal is situated at an altitude of 1,635mts above sea level. It is popular with anglers and is surrounded by terraced fields, from which it presumably gets its name.

Almora: The district of Almora is a picturesque place located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.  Almora is famous for its magnificent beauty, panoramic view of the Himalayas, rich cultural heritage, exquisite wildlife, unique handicrafts and delicious cuisine. It is located at a height of 5,400ft above sea level and is spread across a 5-km ridge atop Kashaya Hill. It is known as the ‘Switzerland of India.’

Ranikhet: Ranikhet is also the home for Kumaon regiment and Naga regiment of Indian Army. Ranikhet offers invigorating views of the snow capped peaks of the prodigious Himalayan range. Ranikhet literally means “Queens Meadow or Queens’s field”.  Ranikhet  hosts a vast bio-diversity of flora and fauna. Ranikhet is situated 65kms from Nainital set at an altitude of 1,869mts above sea level.

Mukteshwar: It is situated at a distance of 52kms from the town of Nainital set at an elevation of 2,285mts above sea level. Mukteshwar got its name from a 350year old temple Mukteshwer Dham whose presiding deity is great Lord Shiva.

Kausani: It is one of the most popular hill stations of Kumaon perched at an elevation of 1890mts above sea level. Situated 118kms from Nainital this charming hill resort set amidst several snow- capped peaks is endowed with extraordinary natural beauteousness. 

Haldwani: Haldwani is situated in the Nainital district of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand state at an average elevation of 425mts above sea level. Haldwani is situated in the foothills of Himalayas in the bhabhar region of the Indo-Gangetic plains. Haldwani is popularly known as the ‘gateway of kumaon’ sharing its twin township with Kathgodam.

Jim Corbett National Park: It is situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state and is also India's oldest national park being established in 1936. The park was named after hunter turned conservationist Jim Corbett.  Corbett National park is situated 68kms from Nainital.

By Air: Pant Nagar Airport is situated in Uttarakhand state and is one of the two airports of Uttarakhand. Pant Nagar is the nearest airport to Kathgodam and Nainital as well. It is situated 72kms from Nainital and is well connected by motorable roads. Taxis to Nainital and Kathgodam are easily available from Pant Nagar Airport.

By Rail: Kathgodam is the nearest railway station to Nainital, situated at a distance of 41kms. Kathgodam is well connected by Railway networks with major destinations of India. Trains are frequent to Kathgodam as it is the gateway of Kumaon region. Kathgodam is the nearest railhead to Nainital. Nainital is only one hour drive 41kms from Kathgodam Railway Station. Buses and Taxis are easily available to Nainital from Kathgodam.

By Road: Nainital is well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of northern India.
